Projection vs. Intuition
A few weeks ago, I was facing a decision, and I kept overthinking it. I was letting my past fears get in the way — projecting what could go wrong instead of listening to what I really felt.
Then I paused. I listened. And that quiet voice inside me ; known as my intuition- began to guide me.
That’s the difference: projection is your past and fear talking. Intuition is your inner voice, calm but certain.
When I need clarity, I follow three simple steps:
Pause. Process. Pray.
Pause long enough to stop reacting.
Process the situation and separate past experiences from the present reality.
Pray for wisdom.
The same applies when receiving advice. Some input comes from projection — insecurity, fear, or limited experience. Other advice comes from wisdom — clarity, growth, and discernment. Being a leader is about discerning the difference.
Not every opinion is good instruction. Not every suggestion is guidance. When you slow down, process carefully, and stay grounded in prayer, the right direction becomes clearer.
